Mainly Music is a fun musical experience for young children (babies to pre-schoolers) and their parents or care-givers .
What happens at a typical Mainly Music session?
Kids and carers/parents arrive from 10am and register. We begin with about 30 minutes of outside playtime to burn off some energy. Then we go inside for the music session. Children and parents sing along and do the actions to a range of different recorded music. The songs are catchy as well as designed to teach some basic skills and co-ordination, as well as a simple ideas like counting. We usually include one or two songs about God’s love for all of us. Half an hour of music is followed by home-made morning tea for children and adults, so parents get a chance to catch up and chill out and kids can enjoy a bit more play-time before going home. (Please note: while we are allergy aware, parents are responsible for overseeing what their children eat.)
Mainly Music runs weekly during school term in two locations:
St Francis’ Medowie: Wednesdays 10-11.30am. $5 per family. Facebook Page.
Holy Name Mallabula: Thursdays 10-11.30am. $5 per family. Facebook Page.
